Jill Donovan:
I’m so excited about today’s bracelets podcast.

Kelly:
Oh you are?

Jill Donovan:
I decided that at the beginning of every bracelets podcast I’m going to say that, because everybody says it on podcasts.

Kelly:
It makes the whole thing more exciting.

Jill Donovan:
Yes, I’m so excited about what we’re going to do today.

Kelly:
Oh me too.

Jill Donovan:
A lot of the ideas that we get for podcast come from our real life experiences.

Kelly:
Yes.

Jill Donovan:
I would say most of them do. Some of them are just thoughts we have. This idea right here came because I had a bunch of one of my daughter’s friends over and they all wanted something different on the pizza, but they all would only eat a piece of pizza.

Kelly:
Yes.

Jill Donovan:
But they all wanted something different.

Kelly:
I hate that. Like when we’re having a bracelets party and they’re like, I really like Hawaiian and you’re like, if I get a whole Hawaiian pizza you’re eating the whole thing, because nobody else likes Hawaiian but you.

Jill Donovan:
Exactly, what’s on Hawaiian? Pineapple-

Kelly:
And Canadian bacon.

Jill Donovan:
Oh gosh, I remember that in high school.

Kelly:
Yes.

Jill Donovan:
Yes.

Kelly:
I think, I’m sorry, I’m Italian so I think that’s gross.

Jill Donovan:
Yeah.

Kelly:
But some people like it. However, I will order it for you if you eat the entire bracelets thing.

Jill Donovan:
But even if you don’t like Hawaiian pizza to take off the pineapple and Canadian bacon, you can still smell it and you can taste whatever you smell.

Kelly:
Yes you can.

Jill Donovan:
Yup, so here we go. Are we ready?

Kelly:
We are ready.

Jill Donovan:
I had the idea when all of her friends were asking for different toppings, but none of them liked the other ones toppings. And I said, I can’t get a different piece of pizza with a different topping on each one. I felt what if today you and I tried to call different pizza places to see which one, which pizza place would be the first one to allow us to order a large pizza one with different topping on every piece.

Kelly:
Oh, I can’t wait to see if you can find a pizza place to do that.

Jill Donovan:
Sometimes when I offer up a suggestion or tell you what we’re going to do I wish sometimes your excitement level was a little higher.

Kelly:
I’m sorry. I think at some point in the last week or so you called me a naysayer.

Jill Donovan:
No, no, you called yourself that.

Kelly:
Oh I did.

Jill Donovan:
Yeah.

Kelly:
It’s because I’m not a naysayer. I’m a realist. However, I did learn my lesson when we did the podcast where we did our number neighbor, because I said nobody’s going to answer the phone. And then we had that angel of a man answer the phone and give a fabulous encouraging word. And then I learned my lesson.

Jill Donovan:
You did.

Kelly:
So I’m going to just go with it.

Jill Donovan:
Okay.

Kelly:
Because I trust you.

Jill Donovan:
I hope something fabulous happens today.

Kelly:
Me too.

Jill Donovan:
And I hope you then again have to eat your words.

Kelly:
Oh, that’d be awesome.

Jill Donovan:
Along with the piece of pizza.

Kelly:
Pizza.

Jill Donovan:
So who are we calling first? Let’s call, I know one number by heart. 6644444, okay.

Angel:
Thanks for calling for Mazzio’s. Pepper rollies are back, six for 5.99, 12 for 9.99 my name is Angel, may I get your phone number please?

Jill Donovan:
Hi angel, my number is 918-

Angel:
Thank you, and your name?

Jill Donovan:
Jill.

Angel:
Is this delivery or pickup Jill?

Jill Donovan:
It is delivery.

Angel:
And what’s the address?

Jill Donovan:
The address is Harvard Avenue.

Angel:
Okay, give me one second. Hold on.

Kelly:
[crosstalk 00:03:06]

Jill Donovan:
How’s your day Angel?

Angel:
Okay. So far so good. Is this like the Jill Donovan with Rustic Cuff?

Jill Donovan:
I do sound a lot like her.

Angel:
Oh, okay. I was like, oh wow, a celebrity.

Jill Donovan:
Yes this Jill, hi Angel.

Angel:
Hi.

Jill Donovan:
Are you from Tulsa?

Angel:
I’m in Owosso but my sister, mom and I are kind of Rustic Cuff bracelets fanatics, so [inaudible 00:03:27] I just saw your name pop up and it said Rustic Cuff, I’m like, no way.

Jill Donovan:
Well, nice to meet you and thank you.

Angel:
You too.

Jill Donovan:
Thank you for for loving Rustic Cuff bracelets.

Angel:
Well, you’re welcome. Well, it’s going to be about an hour delivery. It’s cash, or card only, what would you like?

Jill Donovan:
Well, I have a bracelets question for you.

Angel:
Okay.

Jill Donovan:
You’re going to think this is a little crazy.

Angel:
Okay.

Jill Donovan:
But do you do pizzas with a different topping on every slice?

Angel:
Unfortunately, no. The topping, you can do half and half, but that’s the most we can do is half and half.

Jill Donovan:
Okay, and do they make the pizza right where you are?

Angel:
I actually work in a call center, yeah they make it in the store. Yeah, they’re not frozen. They make the dough every day.

Jill Donovan:
What would it take if for you and I to get them to make us a pizza that has a different topping on every piece.

Angel:
Unfortunately we can’t do that. We’ve had people ask that before and it’s just something it would be impossible to nearly, I mean yeah, it’d be really hard to do so they just don’t do it.

Jill Donovan:
I totally get that.

Angel:
If you went inside and maybe talked to a bracelets manager there then I don’t know what they’ll say. But here through the call center we can only do half and half.

Jill Donovan:
Yeah. What are you doing for dinner?

Angel:
I don’t know. I usually when I get off I just go home, grab something to eat on my way and go to bed.

Jill Donovan:
When was the last time you had pizza?

Angel:
Oh goodness, two days ago, because I got it from here.

Jill Donovan:
Can I order this pizza for you instead of my employees then and have it sent to your house tonight.

Angel:
Oh you don’t have to do that.

Jill Donovan:
I want to do that. I want to order whatever kind of pizza you and your mom and sister love and send you dinner there tonight to your house.

Angel:
Oh well that’s awful nice of you. Okay, I can definitely do that.

Jill Donovan:
So you can set it up to send it at a certain time?

Angel:
Yeah, give me one second, I just have to get back out of here.

Jill Donovan:
This is fun to order pizza for you. It brings me great joy to know that we get to buy a pizza for a Mazzio’s employee.

Angel:
Oh, well that’s so neat. I’m kind of, oh I don’t even know what to say really. But thank you. And we’re real simple. We just like just a large probably, let me think what I normally put on there. Oh we’ll do a large Alfredo hand tossed.

Jill Donovan:
That sounds good.

Angel:
With, yeah it’s so good, with pepperoni and pineapple. It’s really good.

Jill Donovan:
Pineapple, you like pineapple on your pizza?

Angel:
Yes, love it.

Jill Donovan:
So let’s get some drinks and bracelets too. What kind of drinks do you want?

Angel:
Oh, we’re good on drinks.

Jill Donovan:
No, no, I want you to have extra. Got to have drinks. No, I insist.

Angel:
We’ll do a two liter.

Jill Donovan:
Okay.

Angel:
Okay, I’ll do a two liter [crosstalk 00:06:03], there we go. Okay, so we ordered a large hand tossed Alfredo pepperoni, pineapple and a two liter of Pep.

Jill Donovan:
Okay, now we have to do some garlic knots or some like appetizer.

Angel:
The pepper rollies is our new thing, they’re so good.

Jill Donovan:
Okay, let’s do that.

Angel:
Okay, pepper rollies, okay with the ranch and the marinara. Okay got it.

Jill Donovan:
And then lets do dessert.

Angel:
Okay.

Jill Donovan:
What kind of dessert?

Angel:
Cinnamon sticks.

Jill Donovan:
Okay, perfect.

Angel:
That totals 35.85

Jill Donovan:
Okay, and do your mom and your sister live in town?

Angel:
In Owosso.

Jill Donovan:
Oh perfect. And will they join you for dinner?

Angel:
[inaudible 00:06:40] ready to have a baby.

Jill Donovan:
Wait?

Angel:
Well my sisters, yeah my sister is get ready to have a baby. So we’re waiting, she’s due any day so we’ll see.

Jill Donovan:
Oh, and has she had her shower yet?

Angel:
I know she got a Rustic Cuff for her shower from one of her in laws.

Jill Donovan:
Ah, is this her first baby?

Angel:
Yes.

Jill Donovan:
Now don’t you think it would be more fun to have dinner, and dessert, and drinks if you also had cuffs to go along with it?

Angel:
Oh, that’d be amazing, but yeah.

Jill Donovan:
Would you have any break between now and 7:00?

Angel:
I’m getting ready to go on break here in about probably 15, 20 minutes and I get a 30 minute break today.

Jill Donovan:
Do you have time to run over to Rustic Cuff bracelets?

Angel:
Okay, I’ll absolutely do that.

Jill Donovan:
And we’re going to give you bracelets for your sister, and your mom, and you new bracelets so you have cuffs with your pizza, because there’s no sense in eating pizza unless you have new cuffs on.

Angel:
Oh my gosh, you’re so amazing.

Jill Donovan:
I’m so excited. I will be here till 4:20, so I’ll be here for the next hour.

Angel:
Okay yeah.

Jill Donovan:
Well I’m so excited to meet you in person.

Angel:
Well thank you very much I appreciate it.

Jill Donovan:
Oh, so happy to do it, I will see you in just a little bit.

Angel:
Okay, sounds good.

Jill Donovan:
Okay, thanks so much Angel.

Angel:
Okay thanks Jill.

Jill Donovan:
Bye, bye.

Angel:
Bye, bye.

Jill Donovan:
I can find your words and you can eat them right here if you’d like. Or we can wait for the pizza to come.

Kelly:
I’d like to wait for the pizza.

Jill Donovan:
That was so beautiful. We’re getting ready to meet Angel.

Kelly:
Its fun.

Jill Donovan:
You know what we’re going to have Angel do?

Kelly:
What?

Jill Donovan:
Angels going to come sit right here with us. This will be the first time we ever randomly called somebody and they came and-

Kelly:
Is she coming right now?

Jill Donovan:
Yeah she’s coming right now.

Kelly:
We better get some bracelets ready, team

Jill Donovan:
We are, we’re going to go get ready. That was so fun. Wasn’t it? Angels coming.

Kelly:
That was incredible.

Jill Donovan:
When you said you were going to eat your words, I don’t feel like you have enough sufficiently for me.

Kelly:
It’s not enough for you. Well technically you did not get someone to order pizza.

Jill Donovan:
Pizza, smizza. It doesn’t matter. Angels coming here to be on our pod, we get to hug Angel and her sister is going to have a baby. We have to find her baby bracelets gift.

Kelly:
Yes we do. This is what I love about you that you like spontaneity-

Jill Donovan:
That was so fun.

Kelly:
So, even though that wasn’t the direction you started-

Jill Donovan:
No.

Kelly:
… with this little adventure we’re on.

Jill Donovan:
Yeah.

Kelly:
You switched paths and now you’re going down this path and you are full in. I love that about you.

Jill Donovan:
God had an angel waiting to take that phone call. Her sister’s getting ready to have a baby. What do we have that we can give her to give her baby?

Speaker 4:
Diapers?

Jill Donovan:
Diapers, oh we’re going to give her some diapers.

Kelly:
Yeah.

Jill Donovan:
We’re going to give her some diapers.

Kelly:
Every new mom needs diapers.

Jill Donovan:
Yeah, yeah.

Kelly:
That’s fun.

Jill Donovan:
We’re going to pause right now and then we will finish this conversation about random not being random, how it may start off as a pizza.

Kelly:
Yes.

Jill Donovan:
But it ends with a beautiful little baby girl.

Kelly:
That’s true.

Jill Donovan:
Okay. We’ll be back. I am so excited because Angel actually just walked in our door. Hi Angel.

Angel:
Hi.

Jill Donovan:
It’s so fun to meet you. You are an angel.

Angel:
Oh thank you very much, it’s nice to meet you.

Jill Donovan:
Okay, so Angel, you’re here and we wanted to give you something special with your pizza. We got diapers for your sister.

Angel:
Ah she’s going to love that.

Jill Donovan:
Okay.

Kelly:
Okay, and then there are paccies in here. And there’re some cuffs for you and your mom, and your sister, but this is my favorite little thing. Okay, this is my favorite. This is a little teeny bracelet and it has an A on it-

Angel:
For Addie.

Kelly:
For Addie and then it has a little cross for her first Rustic Cuff.

Angel:
Oh my gosh, you are too kind, that’s so cute. My sister’s going to love that.

Jill Donovan:
Well I know you have to go back to work but, but really even if this weren’t on a podcast, this was the most fun that we have had like all week to be with you, all month.

Angel:
Thank you it was very, it was surreal to talk to you, when your name popped up I was like no way. Like no way.

Jill Donovan:
Can you answer one bracelets question for me?

Angel:
Yeah.

Jill Donovan:
Tell me what the number one thing on your bucket list is.

Angel:
If I can be real personal, actually my sister got me a bracelet fall seven times stand up eight. I have that, and it’s just something that is really close to me, because it’s been four years and it’s been a struggle. But I’m here and I’m making it, but my goal is to the situation I’m in, just to get my own vehicle back. And you know, it’s just one thing after another. You got to work hard to, it’s just hard. But I’m doing it, I go to work every day and I’ve had some health issues, but I’m okay now, so I’m getting treatment and yeah.

Jill Donovan:
Wow.

Angel:
Yeah.

Jill Donovan:
So four years?

Angel:
Yes.

Jill Donovan:
So your goal, your bucket list is to stay on top of that and have another four bracelets years, and then another four years.

Angel:
Absolutely.

Jill Donovan:
Well, you know what here’s the great part, you now have an entire team of a 100 people who will pray for you, and who will be your new friends, and who will support you in your journey.

Angel:
Thank you very much that means a lot from you guys, I mean I’m shaking I’m so nervous.

Jill Donovan:
Thank you so much for taking the time to come in here. And I mean that when I say that we will all be your support team, and you’ll have a 100 new people praying for you on this journey and I believe that before you know it, you’re going to have another four years, and another four years and you will have more years on this side than you had on that side.

Angel:
Yes, absolutely.

Jill Donovan:
Yeah, thank you Angel.

Angel:
Thank you.

Jill Donovan:
I don’t even know what to say.

Kelly:
That was awesome.

Jill Donovan:
Was she just a tender soul?

Kelly:
That was another divine appointment, I have to tell you, you were right.

Jill Donovan:
Oh it’s painful for me-

Kelly:
Is it?

Jill Donovan:
… to hear you say that, but say it one more time.

Kelly:
You were right.

Jill Donovan:
She was an angel.

Kelly:
I know, she was great.

Jill Donovan:
Do you know when you were talking about the other gentleman that you were a big naysayer about calling the number neighbors? You were a little bit of a naysayer and you said I was a naysayer until we got that angel of a man on the phone, and then the very first phone call, the girl’s name was Angel.

Kelly:
That was crazy.

Jill Donovan:
That is not random.

Kelly:
I don’t think so either.

Jill Donovan:
And after we finished the bracelets podcast with her just now, she was telling us more of her story and I really do believe that was a divine appointment that she needed that, but we needed that as much as she did.

Kelly:
Absolutely, I completely agree with you.

Jill Donovan:
Yeah.

Kelly:
I’m going to think about that for a while, because I think I needed to hear something too.

Jill Donovan:
Yeah, yeah.

Kelly:
Trusting.

Jill Donovan:
Yeah, you know what I got from all of that?

Kelly:
What is it?

Jill Donovan:
That there are angels all around.

Kelly:
Yes.

Jill Donovan:
Their name doesn’t have to be Angel, but there are angels all around and we just sometimes have to just keep our eyes open to look for that.

Kelly:
Be aware.

Jill Donovan:
Be aware of the angels all around us. Yeah, thanks Kelly.

Kelly:
Thank you.

Jill Donovan:
Okay, I was getting ready to end that just now and then I looked up and I saw Robin and Jordan crying, and that made me cry-

Kelly:
Because I think it was a divine appointment and there are people all around us that honestly we could miss. You could easily just call, order pizza and be done and you would have missed the bracelets opportunity to hear about her story and her life, and it does impact us all.

Jill Donovan:
All right. Thank you so much for joining us on COOish. They are all special, but this one was probably one of my very favorites. Kelly, thank you so much. We’ll see you next time.

Kelly:
Thank you
